The face of marketing is changing again. There has been a huge shift in focus to content marketing instead of traditional advertising practices, such as pitching products or services, as buyers have become even more savvy and actively block out the ever increasing messages forced upon them.
Instead content marketing offers valuable content that equips the consumer to make informed, knowledgeable decisions. In turn, providing this information has huge benefits as it can produce brand awareness and trust, lead generation and customer acquisition.
We surveyed content marketers across the UK, and revealed that a staggering 70% feel the main reason for content marketing is lead generation, which just goes to show the return that can be made by offering valuable content to prospects.
Our survey also revealed that the most popular way to distribute and promote content was via email marketing, with 80% sending out to their own data. However, only 21% stated that they use outsourced marketing campaigns, so are many missing out on the opportunity to distribute their content to a wider audience by just sending to their own data?
